Help Us Measure Up 4 Kids

Do you remember the excitement of getting new school supplies? Crisp white paper, sharp pencils and the smell of fresh crayons? A colorful backpack or a binder with your favorite character? Shopping for new clothes and shoes? For children of domestic violence, the anticipation of going back to school is often overshadowed by uncertainty and anxiety. Some have had to flee a dangerous situation with little more than the clothes on their back and others are living with financial and housing issues - burdens no child should have to bear.

Every year, our Measure Up 4 Kids campaign makes it possible for the children in our programs to have the support they need for the new school year. We are dedicated to providing excellent youth programming so that these children and teens have a worry-free school year and access to the services they need in a healthy environment. Whether that means homework assistance, proper equipment and supplies, or after school care and tutoring, we are committed to our FBWC kids!

You can make a difference for our young survivors and help set them on the path to a bright future!

Here is one of the many ways your support helps our youth!

Children are often the "silent victims" of domestic abuse and it can be difficult for them to process their feelings. Play therapy is one of the tools we have to help them overcome their trauma and begin the healing process.
